Allegorical scene of the Trojan hero, lies mortally wounded in the lap of his wife, Andromache, while his father, the king, Priam, draws near. Hector’s armor is evident on the table beside him, the royal courtiers and mourners are juxtaposed. A number of holes (for suspension) appear above, as well as a number of splits. Minor bowing. 14 1/2” x 16.” Very desirable.
